Ray

South Nottingham

Ray lives at home and has lewy body dementia. He received care from a live-in carer but when his condition deteriorated he needed extra support at night.

The Blanche Sargeaunt Foundation worked with the family and now helps towards the cost of providing an additional carer to help Ray get through the night.

Ray’s daughter (Sandra) sent us this lovely note to express her thanks:

“We would like to take this opportunity to personally thank the Trustees of the Blanche Sargeaunt Foundation for the financial support now in place, to facilitate the all-important night care for Dad.

Your understanding and appreciation of the situation is very humbling and means a great deal, not only to Dad, but to the family as a whole.

The seriousness of Dad diagnosis and the lack of support that we have received from elsewhere has put us all under enormous pressure of late, so to hear of the Charity’s willingness to support in this way was truly like a breath of fresh air.

We would also like to add a special note of thanks for the speed in which the Charity came to its decision to help us. The worry and anxiety over doing the very best for Dad has been significantly eased, by the help and financial support we are now so very privileged to have been given.

The Blanches Sargeaunt Trustees should be very proud of their aims in helping families at a time of such significant emotional turmoil. The help given really does make a difference and is one which we will never forget.

Thank you again for everything”
